Our Vision
Our company aspires to become the global market leader in the glass dinnerware product category.
We will achieve this through three brands: 1.Glass Studio, 2.MyGlassPlate, 3.Tiger-Glass.
The Glass Dinnerware Product Category is a change in the global eating culture for the following reasons:
1. Porcelain is losing market share in the dinnerware market.
Porcelain’s product lifecycle tends to expire. Porcelain’s lifecycle as a main course plate for the Western civilization, started in the 17th century by the royal factories of the European Monarchs. Under the pressure from the growing middle class they began to mass-produce. From then on, and for almost three centuries, nothing has changed in the dinnerware product category. Now, this product category lifecycle tends to expire. This is due to a) the globalization which brings «forced» contact between different cultures with different dishes and different ways of eating and b) because of the need of the modern consumer for differentiation. Three century old, dinosauric porcelain companies along with ceramic companies who are mass-producing standardized designs have led to a market with little diversification of dinnerware design. Thus, chefs cannot find unique, authentic dinnerware to present their unique, original creations.
2. Compared to other competitive materials (metal, wood or plastic), glass is the most suitable to gain the largest share of the porcelain market-share loss.
It ‘s advantages are: a) Hygiene; glass completely prevents the development of microbes, b) Compatibility with modern household equipment such as dishwashers, microwave ovens, etc., c) Durability, glass is an equally durable material to porcelain and more durable to ceramics, d) Luxuriousness, Exoticism and Preciousness (Apparently, in choices such as these, humans predominantly think with “emotional intelligence”), and e) Environmental friendliness.
